This is breaking news guys, I made not one but two DIY projects this past week! It's amazing what Pinterest can do for a person (it can kind of make you a little crazy with all the pinning going on). For my first attempt at the button bracelet, it didn't turn out too bad. I just used some elastic string and buttons I already had. Since I have one under my belt, I know that I want to use clear elastic and make one that's all white, but I think I got the hang of it.
The floral pin was just something that I did one day after seeing a lady wearing one, and thought, I could make that. So I got out the glue gun and got to crafting.
I am hoping to get this is going as a new feature on the blog. You can read about it HERE. My goal is to hopefully post at least one sometime during the weekend.
So what are your thoughts about Pinterest? Does it make you crazy and want to do all sorts of new projects, recipes, new outfits, etc.? Please tell me I'm not the only one!
Have a great weekend. Kayla and I will be back on Monday for the next edition of Mother/Daughter Remix (hint: it's colorful)!
Also, just because we are so excited, our Mother/Daughter Remix: Lace post was featured on the Lucky Magazine Community webpage! Check it out

Congrats on being featured on Lucky's website!
ReplyDeletePinterest does drive me crazy...but in a good way! It makes me want to take up sewing and knitting. It's a high-tech website, but it makes me want to return to the low-tech arts and crafts I used to do years ago. How funny is that? I take pride in things I make myself, and I think Pinterest is a great way to inspire us to be more creative in our lives.
Good for you, Heather!!! I love all the ideas I see on Pinterest, but between my roles as wife, mommy, small biz owner/blogger, I find myself a little too tired for crafting by the end of the day. Can't wait to see all the cool stuff you create! ~Sarah
ReplyDeleteCute! I love Pinterest! I've made recipes and done craft projects I've found. It's pretty fun! Especially now that Christmas gift giving is coming around!:)
ReplyDeleteI love pinterest. I plan on making some homemade gift from Christmas.

ReplyDeleteI use Pinterest as a memory aid for looks I'd like to recreate. I haven't used it yet for projects - that might make me truly crazy!
Looks great! I have tried out a few things I've seen on Pinterest, mostly outfit combinations and recipes. I haven't tried any DIY but I'd like to! The buttons are right up my alley, I love buttons!
