The cat's out of the bag about the blog to the boyfriend. I may have accidentally hinted that we had a blog, and in about five minutes he found us! We don't normally go around telling people about our blog. It's kind of our happy place. In a weird way even though we are on the internet for all to see, it's our little secret. People that do know about our blog just don't get the whole style blogger thing.
Do you tell people about your blog? Did someone find you and approach you about it? How do they react?
Heading off to ACT prep this morning. I think it will probably be more fun than driving school. Fun stuff I tell ya! (insert sarcasm here)
I tell people about mine and everyone is very supportive. I give advice all the time to women who are shopping and tell them about my blog, they always ask for my site info. I pass out business cards. I am just getting started and I want feedback. So far very encouraging and supportive.
ReplyDeleteI hear you. Mine is still a secret. Only a few know about it. Don't know what it is about blogging that we're all scared to share. :)

You look so pretty today Kayla. Great hair, lipstick & top. =)
ReplyDeleteAs far as the blog, I have told my husband about it and also a distant friend who also opened a a fashion blog 3 months ago or so. It didn't feel so weird telling my husband. It felt weirder to tell this girl because we are not very close friends. But in a way that made it easier. My husband says he never reads it but when I take photos and he knows what they are for, he hints and jokes about the blog, usually. So pretty much mine is a secret. LOL
Good luck with your ACT! Oh, how I remember those days. HaHa Mine is still a secret. Only a couple of my friends know about it.

Before I address the question, I want to compliment you on the same points: your top, hair and lipstick are perfect.
ReplyDeleteMy blogging situation differs from most, because while I wish I could tell everyone about it, I don't. Some people in my life just wouldn't understand. They'd even become upset. So I tell those who can handle its content and not those who can't. I use Facebook to communicate with the latter people.
Haha this is my biggest fear. ;) Just kidding. My friends/family all know I have a blog, and unfortunately now some of the moms at my work, but I'm always scared I'll accidentally let it slip on a date or something haha.
ReplyDeleteP.S. You're adorable!
Good luck with the ACTs! I don't miss those! You look great.
ReplyDeleteIm the same way! Barely anybody knows! My bf knows, but he doesn't read. I don't think he likes my pictures on the internet!
ReplyDeleteI don't tell people about my blog. All my family knows and they support me. Some of my co-worker know but not all. Tonight I was take picture for tomorrow post and my manger goes she want this picture for her blog. The other co-worker was like BLOG.
ReplyDeleteyou look super adorable.
I do tell people about my blog. It took a long while before I did. I didn't even connect it to Facebook for a year becasue I didn't know what people would say IRL. Turns out most people love it!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the ACT. It sounds like a toughie.
When my mother and sister found out about my blog, I was mortified! :) And surprisingly, my husband is my biggest fan. He loves to read what goes on in my head ;) Hope the ACTs went well!
ReplyDeleteWhen my blog was just my blog, I didn't tell anyone in my real life. Now that I've made it the platform for my coaching business, I tell EVERYONE and their dogs! :) I'm really proud of my work and I'm not so self-conscious anymore.
ReplyDeletethe blog is my happy place, too. not too many people know about it...not that i've told, anyways. i only shared with my closest girlfriends, and one of them shared it on FB...EEK!!! i was praying that it just got pushed down everyone's timeline!!!
ReplyDelete[oomph.]
I tell people about my blog and sometimes share my posts on my personal FB page too, so a lot of my friends know about it. The only thing that's weird is when someone reads it and then discusses it later on in person. I love blogging but it still catches me off guard sometimes since I'm used to all the conversation taking place over the internet!
