Girly and Tough (and a case of Senioritis)

Dress (Target, recent), Jacket (Forever 21, recent), Shoes (Candies, old), Necklace (Kohl's, old)
We had a really warm spell over the weekend, so I decided to break out the bare legs.  Living in Ohio in the winter the weather is crazy.  One day it's 60 degrees the next day there is snow on the ground.  The warm weather gave me a taste of spring and got me thinking about graduating!  I really have a case of "Senioritis" right now and am having a hard time concentrating.

This pretty green and white printed dress is a recent Target purchase.  It has a high low hem (something that I have never tried).  With my normal casual style, I don't always like to look too girly, so adding the "tough" leather jacket was a great way to tone down the dress.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for the next Mother/Daughter Remix!

Did you get antsy right before graduating high school or college?

  1. Girly + tough is such a great combo. I love the jacket over this dress. As the weather gets warmer, your senioritis will probably get worse. Just a few more months!

  3. Great mix of styles. Works wonderfully. And, yes, we all get impatient when we sense the end of one era and a transition into a new one. Good luck!

  4. You look BEAUTIFUL & I love the dress. It can be remixed for both Dressy & Casual events. It looks great with that Purple Necklace, too.

You are about to graduate SOON! It is exciting. I remember getting antsy when graduating college, especially before my Master Degree. But by far the thing I am getting most antsy about, is having this baby. =)

  6. I definitely had senior-its my last semesters in both high school and college - both times I had more or less finished my "required" learning so I took classes that were more for fun and kind of goofing off (more high school anyway, college I just worked a lot).

I love this dress with the leather jacket! Pretty and edgy! Fun!

I LOVED high school, but I REALLY LOVED college! I did get antsy before graduating each one because that meant things were changing & change is always scary!

  17. I love this print and the way you toughened it up with the leather jacket. My daughter is in her last year of college but on her way to graduate school and is not getting a break at all this last semester....

  18. I love this dress on you! I was miserable my senior year. My parents had moved from ATL to Washington DC, so I was a new girl! On top of it, I got a severe case of mono and was out of school from the beginning of Sept until the beginning of Nov! And to top it all- Purdue had accepted me BEFORE Thanksgiving. By January, I had no friends, was still tired from mono, and was already planning for Purdue. Spring semester was a waste!!

  20. I did feel that way just before graduating. I think it was the influence of all those movies where you're told your high school years are the best years of your life. Not to disparage my teens, but I am loving my twenties SO MUCH MORE. In fact every year seems to get better and better. So I would say bundle up your nice memories of high school but get ready for an awesome ride ahead!
