With all the fresh snowfall and cold weather we have been having, it just felt kind of like a leggings and boots socks kind of weekend. Here are two comfy and warm outfits that I pulled together:

Honestly though, I am so over winter already. I am longing for the warm summer days and bare legs and my skirts and heels. Wishful thinking since it's only January. Only about four more months...

ReplyDeleteOh, I love this look! For years, I admired it on gals without having any clue how they achieved it. (Gentlemen don't peer into a lady's boot.) The leggings/bootsock style is so simple yet sophisticated.

I love both of these looks! I love leggings too, they're so darn comfy!! I don't have enough pairs of boot socks though, I need to fix that since we'll easily have another couple of months of winter up here in MN! I'm with you though, I'm tired of winter already!

I really think it was a difference in regions, but none the less, I found myself backing away from them... I love your casual outfits and they are so weather appropriate!
ReplyDeleteI love leggings. I am a huge advocate for them and purchased 4 new pairs, this month. You look great and I think leggings & boot scocks are a great casual yet fun option for real cold days. I love the first outfit with the Cobalt Blue Infinity Scarf. =)

I can't bring myself to wear leggings anymore. Every single day I see way way way too many girls on campus wearing leggings as pants (paired with an oversized t-shirt that doesn't actually cover their bums) and thus caused a disdain for them. I think if I didn't work on a college campus, I'd be more apt to incorporate them into my wardrobe.

ReplyDeleteLeggings are beginning to grow on me, but I only wear the really thick ones that are practically pants. I teach high school, and my student wear the really thin kind as pants with frightening results, and they turned me off from them for a long time. Then I discovered adult leggings, and now I'm coming around.

I almost cried when I walked out of work at the end of the day, and it was colder than our milder-than-usual last couple days had been. Of course, crying in freezing weather is always a bad idea! I love pairing boots and socks. Hopefully it will be warm enough again next week so I don't need to wear my big heavy (and totally not work appropriate) boots on the bus!

I think legging look great on people. I just don't wear them that often. I have a pink pair that I have only worn once.

ReplyDeleteYAY!! I love both these looks but especially the first. This layered look is still quite streamlined and you look so cozy - like you're ready to curl up by a fire. When I first glanced at the photo I wasn't so sure about the blue scarf but on closer inspection I love how it picks up on the colours in your top (which is gorg).
