Today's Mother/Daughter Remix comes courtesy of our Fashion Inspiration Boards on Pinterest. You can see Heather's board HERE and Kayla's board HERE. All sources for the photos we used are also linked in our boards.
Pinterest, fashion magazines, other bloggers, and so many other sources can be found for inspiration when getting dressed. They can be interpreted literal or even one clothing item can be something to make the lightbulb go off when creating an outfit. Here's what we came up with:
We had a good time finding some of our favorite looks on our Pinterest boards and seeing what we could come up with. Stay tuned for the rest of the week. Heather has declared this week Pinspiration week!
Where do you find your fashion inspiration?

Gotta love Pinterest and the ability to make either more literal or looser interpretations as demonstrated quite well here...
ReplyDeleteCute outfit recreations! Pinterest is the best for this. Anytime I'm in a wardrobe slump, I can always get a little inspiration. I love the leopard print looks and that military vest of yours is such a great piece!
ReplyDeletewonderful interpretations, you both have sooo many nice clothes!!i love the burgundy skinnies and cargo vest one the best! really great look! xx
ReplyDeleteI love using Pinterest for outfit inspiration!! Especially when I get a new piece and I'm not sure what to do with it! Both of you have some wonderful ideas here - Heather I like the red sweater and double denim, I might try that one! Kayla I love all the leopard!
ReplyDeleteYou ladies do a fine job with all that color!! Pinspiration week sounds like a great idea!

Knocked Up Fabulous
I need to start turning more of my pins into actual outfits! Love these looks!
ReplyDeleteChic on the Cheap
I like how you used a red sweater to break up the denim-on-denim look. I like how double denim looks on other people, but I've been too scared to try it myself. But using another color to visually break up the denim is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteHeather, I love that shade of orange, especially paired with other pinks/reds. And Kayla, love the pink and green!
ReplyDeleteI love all your inspired by looks!! The orange cardi with the red pants is such a great combo! That leoprad cardi and neon scarf is so fun!!
ReplyDeleteLove the inspirations and the looks! I also love pinterest and reading magazines for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteRed Soles and Red Wine
God you guys have an adorable blog! I love that you actually took pinterest outfits and tried to recreate them. I usually just sit and drool over mine. it's kind of the equivalent of actually doing the DIYs you pin haha. I love all of them you came up with!

ReplyDeleteI really love the 2nd and 5th outfits, I love getting inspiration on days where I don't have much oomph to put together a stylish outfit. I would like that leopard print cardi with pink in my wardrobe!
