Day 4 of Pinspiration Week and I am having a blast! This week has helped me gain a newfound love of the pieces I already own in my closet with a little help from other stylish ladies in the blog world.
This classic white button up, blazer and statement necklace combo is definitely right up my alley. I really really wish I had one of these awesome bubble necklaces, but I don't, so I had to improvise. Although I would really LOVE one of these necklaces, that's what this exercise is about for me. Learning and remembering to use things that I already have without going out and buying something all the time. Another thing I have learned so far this week is that all my looks have incorporated a blazer so far. Hmmm....maybe tomorrow I will have to wear an outfit without a blazer.
Do you try to work with what you already have in your closet or do you see something someone else has on and you go and buy the same thing?

Such a classy, sophisticated look. You look like you should be out walking in the English countryside. I love that you are making the most out of what you already own. That's been one of my goals this year too.
ReplyDeleteI def know what you mean...I have too much stuff as it is and i need work with what I have. Very nice creation of the look.
ReplyDeleteLove this look. White crisp Shirt, Black Blazer & Blue Jeans all tucked into boots. So classic & chic.
ReplyDeleteI really want to order at least a couple of those amazing Bubble Necklaces also but I am worried with the shipping & extra fees here in Albania. I might have to order it when I come to US this summer.
By the way, you should also consider this a Blazer Week. You got on 3 blazers in a row. You know I love blazers. ;-)
Your hair looks great in these pics!
ReplyDeleteI love a classic and chic look like this...fabulous!
(I try hard to use what I have in my closet.)
This is a great and classic look! I have been on the look out for a perfect white button up, I haven't found it quite yet. And I actually think I like the look of your necklace better than the bubble one, but that might just be me!
ReplyDeleteI try to work with what I have as much as I can and if I think I need a new piece to make something work, I try the thrift or consignment store first! Save a little money that way anyway!
Very classic and preppy... You really have a wonderful collection of boots. As for the bubble necklace, I found them on ebay for great price, but did have to wait for them to come overseas...
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit! I am going to use this as my inspiration for my outfit tomorrow. Cute boots! Why don't I ever find things I like when I go to Kohls?
ReplyDeleteVery glad to hear that your old pieces are getting love and a new perspective! :) I really love this inspiration and THOSE boots!

I almost always try to work with what I have, and I'm usually pretty good at remixing my pieces into an outfit similar to my inspiration.
ReplyDeleteLove it Heather. I need to get back on Pinterest; when I do, I need to follow you!
ReplyDeleteThe boots are so adorable. Are they a gift from your hubby? He has great taste, if they are!
I might have to steal this look! I have the necklace that your source is wearing :) I love the boots you're wearing much better though!

ReplyDeleteBlack and white is such a great look, I need to remember that
I really do try to shop my closet, especially this time of year when so much in on clearance and just don't really "need" anything

Great reminder of how fab a basic white collared shirt and black blazer can look.
ReplyDeletea classic white shirt and black blazer will always be in style. those bubble necklaces can be expensive. you might find one on etsy cheaper if you really want one. i try not to buy. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. hahaha

I wear all my clothes in my closet. I here and there buy new things. I try to get new clothes when I have a gift card. This outfit is so classic. Also I want a bubble necklace too
