After a week full of Pinspiration outfits with blazers, I decided it was time to switch it up with something a little different. This ended up being one of my favorites from the week. This polka dot sweater was the base of the inspiration and then I added these teal skinnies (the closest to her mint colored ones), my denim shirt, some pearls, and my cognac boots. A pair of nude colored heels would have been great, but not so much when we have below freezing temps and snow on the ground.
This week has taught me a lot about remembering to use what I already have and to see my wardrobe in a whole new way. This week also made me realize that I have a lot of great items in my wardrobe and sometimes I just need a little bit of inspiration (or Pinspiration) to breathe new life into my wardrobe!
Be sure to check back tomorrow for a round up post from all of this week's looks. I am curious to see what your favorites were!
We are also taking suggestions for the next Mother/Daughter Remix for Monday.
Have a great Friday!

Great Look. You nailed it.
ReplyDeleteI think I like the teal pant better than mint. There's more contrast. And your polka dot sweater is giving me sweater envy. I've been wanting to find one all winter. I loved this series and looking forward to your round up!
ReplyDeleteI love that sweater,it sold out super fast at my old navy, I did but it in black with camel dots but then returned it. I can't remember why I returned it now.....grrrr
ReplyDeleteYou definitely nailed the classic preppy look with a twist here. Yes, boots are the only thing I want to wear when it's this cold... We can dream of wearing the pumps, Spring will arrive....
ReplyDeleteI think that camel and teal look so pretty together! Nice job winterizing the outfit with those boots, Heather!

Yes, yes, yes!!! This is my favorite outfit this week! I love the mint colored skinnies but I triple love your polka dot sweater! I feel like this is a great look for winter, but it's channeling spring and that makes me happy! This was a fun week of Pin-spired outfits Heather, great job!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love the mint - tan - chambray combo!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for shopping your closet and pinning looks you can actually wear, rather than ones where you feel like you have to go out and buy a whole new outfit.
Chic on the Cheap
I love it when I can remix something in my wardrobe in a whole new way. It makes me feel creative and resourceful. :) I see polka dots in my future...
ReplyDeleteOh I love this outfit! I'm a fan of polka dots and have recently added mint/teal pants to my wardrobe! But I need to take some inspiration from you and STOP buying things, use what's in my closet. lol.
