A Little Pink for Valentine's Day

Peplum Top (Forever 21), Skirt and Polka Dot Top (thrifted), Tights and Shoes (Kohl's), Necklace (gift), Belt (??)
Happy Valentine's Day!  To be totally honest, my husband and I don't get all wild and crazy for Valentine's Day but it's nice to have a special day out of the year to celebrate love.  We usually just give each other our favorite candy and call it a day :)
 
I thought this thrifted bright pink skirt was appropriate on this day for lovers.  It's hot pink which is even better so to let it be the focus of the outfit I paired it with all black.  This peplum top is something that I was having a hard time winterizing, but then I realized just add a long sleeve top under it and I was good to go.  The fact that it's a polka dot long sleeved top is even better!
 
How are you spending your Valentine's Day?  Do you go all out or just consider it another day of the week?

  6. So many things I gotta say here... first: my hubby and I are the same way- a candy bar, a card aaaaand we're good. Lol!
    Second: I have GOT to get myself to a thrift store! I want a black and white polka dot top so bad but I don't really want to hunt for one. I keep hoping one will jump out at me while I'm looking for other things.
    Third: this just reminds me that I need to put a long sleeve under my peplum top and rock it like you are. Sooo dang cute! Love EVERYTHING!!
