Pinned It and Did It: Red Cardigan & Teal Pants Outfit

This week has been extremely busy so no DIY or recipes for today.  I still had to get dressed though, so here is my Pinterest inspired outfit:

Cardigan (Target), White Top (Old Navy), Pants (New York & Co), Boots (Kohl's), Necklaces (JCPenney)

Red and teal is definitely a favorite color combo of mine, so when I found this outfit idea from Walmart of all places, I was all over this one.  Although I am not completely happy with the way I look, I like to keep it real on the blog.  This is the reason I have been feeling a little out of sorts:

Miss M smashed her thumb in the sliding van door.  We spent a good portion of our evening sitting at urgent care getting x-rays and having her thumb put in a splint.  Fortunately, the x-ray said her thumb isn't broken, but we have to go back on Monday for another follow up due to the fact it was swollen up like a hotdog and we have to have another look at it.  Oh the joys of children!

  2. I hope Miss M feels better soon. It seems like all of my children have slammed some part of their hand in a car door at least once. I won't say how many times I've slammed mine....:(

Lovely inspiration outfit. Maybe a scarf or bolder necklace?

  3. Oh poor Miss M, but it looks like she was a trooper! I didn't realize that I'm not only jealous of your supply of coloured denim, but also your bravery with them. I have to go out tonight (ugh, I hate NOT being home in jammies at night) and was contemplating wearing my teal skinnies, but am not quite feeling bold enough. And then I log into my reader and see you wearing them... and rocking them with a unexpected but great red! Oh to have your closet AND your confidence!

OMG your poor lil girl! I can remember as if it were yesterday when my older sister slammed her finger the same way....she was fine..but it was SCARY and definitely a night spent at the ER.
    Speedy recovery.
